 Trainer Guidelines

This honor is bestowed to the LPCP Trainers who are the

‘Very Elite Educators in Our Industries’ ©

 

hands-in-a-circle---trainer-guidelinesAll qualifying trainers of the LPCP have been given the title of ‘Master Educational Trainer’.

Education trainers that meet our highest standards will have a minimum of at least (10+ ) years plus in permanent makeup, tattooing, branding, piercing procedures.  With this minimum of (10+) years plus, we require at least 750 procedures of given field of choice.  All these procedures must be able to be authenticated with proper paperwork and photos, unless we provide a waiver.  The waiver would be vouching as our previous student or independent artist that has worked closely with either Ms. Church or Pamela Abshear that can meet our high standards of practice and apprenticeship programs.  The waver will consist of at least 8 years in the industry with sound business practices that includes significant continuing education and personal advancement.  We reserve the right to refuse anyone passage into the educational trainer status if they fail to comply in the matters above.  All candidates for educational trainer will have the CPDA certification along with the title ‘Master Trainer’.

Educational training guidelines will be the following:

All equipment used to generate services shall be single use, pre packaged and sterile.  Equipment shall meet insurance standards that: all pen (rotary) devices and tattooing equipment which has poorly designed flaws that will contribute to back flow will not be allowed.   As experts we shall reserve the right to refuse any equipment that will not hold to this standard.

Educational trainers will use approved curriculum’s that have meet LPCP standards, these curriculum’s shall be approved before trainer status is conferred. Trainers must either write their own text books, Power Points or have their own DVD’s or have a signed, notarized  release statement from the educator’s training materials that they are using. This is to be on file at the LPCP head office.

Proper OSHA and CDC guidelines must be taught in a Bloodborne Pathogen industry specific class, as a part of the basic or fundamental beginning course.  Certification must be issued as proof of this significant protocol.  These guidelines must be practiced during course into its completion. BBP Trainers must be approved by their local health department or have a certificate from attending an OSHA class in order to teach BBP classes. These certificates must be on file at the LPCP head office.

All products that are used to generate a permanent makeup/ tattoo/branding/piercing procedures must be disposed of and never reused, this would include but is not limited to pigment and other supplies used for each client.

Beginning educational trainers must teach a minimum of 135 clocked and documented hours for their chosen course of expertise.

All advanced classes should be at least 9 hours in duration. Specific manuals and DVD’s should be provided to all students for future reference.

Files and photos must be on premises and kept for both client and students.  These include but are not limited to, Consent and Release Forms, Before and After Care Forms, Medical Charts, Student Info, Photo and Photo Release Forms, Model Releases, Procedure Reports.   Finals exams for students shall be documented with precision as to tests given.

All educational trainers must allow prior students to re-audit their beginning class at no additional cost and for as many times as requested, it must be within two years after completion of said course.  This should be also based on space availability and proper reservation of said spot.  Educational trainers must also make themselves available for a lifetime of technical support of said students; this should be done in a reasonable and timely fashion and no longer than two weeks unless there is a special circumstance.  SME can be done at instructor’s discretion via text, phone, SKYPE or email.

Certifications of completion must be issued with proper documentation of said hours and specified seminars of study.  Certification of completion should be specific within the laws of each state with proper and legal language used and to not be confused with post-secondary or continuing educational formal verbiage.

Training classroom shall be in compliance with CDC and OSHA bloodborne pathogen guidelines as well as local health department specifications and state laws.  These sites should be clean and orderly with proper asepsis, which includes proper waste disposal.  Training class will have access to potable water that is hot and cold, bathroom facilities must be readily available.  Eyewash stations must be installed in sinks in case of exposure.  Instructor will have exposure plan written and posted in facility and copies given to said students.  MSDS shall be on site and readily accessible for all liquid  and chemical products used in facility.

Class ratio for theory/classroom is never more than 4 students per educational instructor unless an assistant is on premises.  The ratio is always to remain one to four, no more.

Assistants to educational trainers must have at least 7 documented years in field of expertise being taught and a certified CPDA.

Educational trainers will only provide one-on-one education while overseeing student’hands on’  procedures when working on live clients.

Students and models will be over the age of (18).

Business set up will meet all local and state laws for education as seminars with professional affiliations.  Classes/Seminars must comply with all continuing educational guidelines, state guidelines or post-secondary guidelines for continuing education in the beauty field and zoning laws.

All Educational instructors and students are responsible for their personal choices in the above matters. The LPCP accepts no liability in any way shape of form, that may arise in the course of an educational program or the lack there of, from any of its members or educational trainers.

All trainers shall carry full coverage insurance on themselves as well as students working, training or practicing in their facility.

We shall consider all complaints by the board. All complaints must in writing to the board. The board will have final decision of complaints and the consequences for the trainer.

Trainers must abide by all Code of Ethics.

All pigments and equipment used must meet insurance regulations/requirements.
