Goals of the LPCP

The League of Permanent Cosmetic Providers (LPCP) will strive to be  recognized as the leading non-profit association in the permanent makeup, traditional artist, piercing and branding  industry.

In 1990 Susan Church co-founded the SPCP. In 2008 with a heavy heart she handed in her resignation. She decided as many other members who left the SPCP, did not like the direction the SPCP was headed.

Since 2005, these members urged Susan to start another organization that would be run fairly without bias, prejudice and would benefit the good of all technicians without the backstabbing viciousness that goes along with so many organizations. She knew how much work and time she donated to the SPCP so she was hesitant about taking on a new project. But, the former members won out…

With the help of Pamela Abshear (former SPCP Member Trainer and SME) and several others the League of Permanent Cosmetic Providers was formed. Goals were set, standards were put in place and the LPCP was formed!

The main goal of the LPCP  is to have an organization that will recognize there are people that have a difference of opinion in regards to products and techniques. As long as these products and techniques are deemed safe and follow the LPCP’s code of ethics, there is no valid reason that we all can not  unite into one organization for the good of our industry.

Technicians, the general public, local city, county, state and government bodies will look towards the LPCP organization  for guidelines in safety and the standards of practice of our technician members.

The LPCP will provide a system that certifies body art professionals who  voluntarily meet and maintain our standards to protect the public.

Through all of our social media sites, our goal is to have the most informative articles and up to date information of any organization worldwide both for consumers and our members.

We offer OSHA, city, county, state information on legislation for each technician as well as approved online classes for Cross Contamination, Blood Borne Pathogens. We hold classes in house and also online for those that are in other countries that are not able to attend classes in person. These classes may also be held on SKYPE so technicians may ask the instructors questions in ‘real time’.

The LPCP will be hosting its

1st Annual Permanent Makeup Conference will be held on

October  19. 20.21. 2013 in Mesa, Arizona  USA

with some of the most educated leaders in the industry and the latest technology available to us. Our focus and goals are to enlighten the public with the latest educational tools that make our procedures safer than ever before both for the client and the technician.

We have members from many countries worldwide that have also felt the need for a reliable, creditable organization that will uphold its ethics and education. An organization that will keep the monies earned and raised and  dues paid  in the organization and not be used for salaries. Making our board members and joined members, truly a non-profit trade organization.

Our existing members have completed a 135 hour Beginning Class, a practical and written exam and have passed with a score of  85% or better.

These members are awarded the distinctive honor of  Certified Permanent Dermal Artist (CPDA) to be used behind their name.

Technicians that are already in the permanent  makeup industry

must take the LPCP exam in order to have the distinct

honor to use the initials ‘CPDA’    behind their name .

This shows the public that this particular member has a minimum

level of competency in the permanent makeup industry.

These are the highest standards in the permanent makeup industry to date.

Clients should check their technicians education and credentials prior to any permanent makeup application.
