About LPCP ©

Founded:

The League of Permanent Cosmetic Providers (LPCP) was founded in 2012.

Mission:

The LPCP exceeds all criteria set by other organizations. We provide our industry with the highest standards of ethics, values and morals.

We are a non-profit association that is mainly for technicians in the permanent makeup, tattooing, branding and piercing industry.

All of the members fees collected will be used for conferences and related expenses only.  The Board of Directors will not take a salary and everyone volunteers their time.

Certification of Technicians: CPDA

The LPCP  members with the initials CPDA (Certified Professional Dermal Artist)  have all completed at least 135 hours of fundamental education in permanent cosmetic makeup. They must exhibit proficiency in eyebrow, eyeliner and lip application. If the technician has had less than 135 hours in fundamental education they must take and pass an exam to qualify for membership in the LPCP organization.

Required Hours for Technicians

With our strict educational guidelines, students that qualify are awarded the CPDA initials to use. These letters behind the technicians name lets the public and other technicians know that they have passed a 135 hour class which includes a Blood Borne Pathogen Class (BBP) and are knowledgeable in the fundamentals of permanent cosmetic makeup.

Our members use coil, digital, rotary machines and/or the hand tool for their permanent makeup and tattooing procedures.  All branding professionals and piercers must follow  guidelines as well. These procedures must be performed in accordance with OSHA, CDC, state, county, city and LPCP guidelines.
