Needle Tips for Perfect Procedures

Use the proper ‘flat tip’ that corresponds with the ‘flat needle’.

The flat needle should be flush with the flat tube when the machine is not running.

The flat needles should ride in the center of the tip and not have any portion of the needles rubbing against the tip. This will burr your needle.

While the machine is running, the needle should protrude out of the tip approximately the depth of a dime or less.# 7 4 flat burred needle

Running the machine with the tip resting or riding on the skin should ensure that the pigment is being placed into the dermal layer of tissue.

Use extreme caution when using a flat needle grouping.

Run the needle vertically as opposed to horizontally. See photo

Do not make repetitive implantations in one area as this may create tissue maceration and scarring.

Burred or bent needles should be replaced immediately as they will pull and tear the skin creating maceration.

If the pigment is not being inserted into the skin because of thickness:

a) Stretch the skin more taut

b) Slow or speed up the speed of your machine

c) Hold the needle in the skin longer
